Governance Professionals of Canada (GPC)

Governance Professionals of Canada‘s mandate is to be the voice of governance professionals in Canada. Its members deal with all matters affecting corporate governance, from board and committee processes, management and structure, disclosure, stakeholder engagement, legal and corporate compliance, as well as issues crucial to boards, their accountability and oversight. GPC offers formal education, webinars, an annual conference and trade show, and an awards program and ceremony, all in order to enhance members’ education, skillsets and success in their profession and organizations. GPC's Education, Professional Development and Events are designed to expand your learning opportunities and enhance your skill set as governance professionals. Their GPC.D is a recognized Canadian designation attained by completing the ‘Governance in Practice’ Program. The program was created to help strengthen the skills of those who practice governance, to assist their boards and organizations in enhancing their overall governance processes. The Governance in Practice Education Program consists of 3 courses – Foundations of Governance, Applied Governance and Strategic Governance. The program content is applicable to all type of organizations, across all industry sectors and jurisdictions, with a focus on the practical, hands-on role of governance professionals.
