Care Canada is an organization that strives to help women and girls in developing countries lift themselves and their families out of poverty and out of crisis. CARE Canada’s projects focus on advancing gender equality by responding to and preventing gender-based violence and increasing women’s access to and control over economic resources. They engage all members of the communities they work in—including men and boys—to address the underlying causes of gender inequality and advocate for policy change so that the progress made lasts for generations to come. Their projects also support women’s health—including women’s right to sexual, reproductive, maternal, and nutritional health—through both long-term development and humanitarian programming. Their humanitarian work provides life-saving support to people impacted by disaster or crisis.
