Association of Canadian Universities for Northern Studies (ACUNS)

ACUNS plays a leadership role in promoting a diverse and comprehensive understanding of the North through the facilitation of collaborative research, knowledge mobilization, and education. ACUNS is a registered charitable organization headquartered in Ottawa, with volunteer representatives at member post-secondary institutions across the country. ACUNS administers 18 different awards for students enrolled in a college or university undergraduate, graduate, or post-graduate program that focuses on the northern context. With contributions from donors including polar Knowledge Canada, ACUNS aims to contribute to the well-being of northern communities through the development of strong northern scholarship.
