Pitquhirnikkut Ilihautiniq

The Pitquhirnikkut Ilihautiniq / Kitikmeot Heritage Society is a non-profit that address projects of critical importance to the revival of Inuit culture, language and history. They focus on the needs of Inuinnait—a distinct regional group of Inuit living in the Central Canadian Arctic. They commit to playing a leadership role in Inuinnaqtun revitalization, providing an immersive Inuinnaqtun environment in their facility through the Elders in Residence program and the building of Inuinnaqtun capacity in all of their staff.
