Métis Nation of Ontario

The Métis Nation of Ontario aims to create a Métis-specific governance structure for the implementation of the nation’s inherent right to self-government in the province; establish a credible and recognized identification system for Métis people within the province; focus on ‘nation building’ through working together as a collective in order to support Métis citizens and communities. The MNO provides a range of educational and training services and supports. The MNO is working to provide comprehensive educational support for all Métis in Ontario with a particular emphasis on educational opportunities for youth. The Métis Nation of Ontario's Employment and Training programs provide skills training and development to support and assist Métis people in achieving and advancing their career options.
