Youth Employment Services (YES)

YES is the Canadian leader in providing innovative programs and services that has empowered hundreds of thousands of youth to become self-sufficient contributing members of society. YES believes that employment is empowerment and the cornerstone of safe and healthy communities. YES leads the youth sector with innovative programs that empower disadvantaged and vulnerable youth to become self-sufficient contributing members of society. The Leaders in Training (LIT) program is free for youth aged 15 -17. LIT participants are involved in Momenta’s Leadership Canoe Trip (before YAA Camp) and act as support counselors by shadowing Momenta’s Cabin Counselors during YAA Camp. This program provides hands-on learning, on-the-job training, positive recreation experiences, and the opportunity to gain leadership skills. The LIT are supported by the Momenta Camp Director and receive a stipend for their participation.
