Yukon Native Language Centre (YNLC)

The Yukon Native Language Centre (YNLC) supports Yukon First Nations with language revitalization by providing training, capacity building, technical expertise, advocacy and being a central repository for all to access and use. The mission is to have children learn traditional language as their first language to restore intergenerational transmission. The YNLC offers language proficiency training contribute to the revival, revitalization and maintenance of Yukon First Nation languages and to directly support students to become fluent speakers with the ability to pass the language on to future generations.
