Camp Triumph

Camp Triumph's mission is to acknowledge, support, and provide an opportunity for children and youth - whose families are affected by chronic illness or disability - to build confidence, positive self-esteem, and reach their full potential through nurturing qualities of perseverance, respect, and understanding. Camp Triumph is partnered with T1D Camps to enable children on Prince Edward Island living with type 1 diabetes the chance to attend camp in the province. This alliance between Camp Triumph and the community means PEI Diabetes Camp, now known as Camp Phoenix, will continue for years to come. Camp Triumph camps are programs specifically for a very large, but often forgotten population. They bring together children and youth from across Canada who have a parent or sibling with a serious illness or disability. These children and youth get to experience a special haven where the daily stresses take a backseat and they are the focus for a change.
