YWCA Toronto offers women a chance to build a sustainable future in non-traditional occupations for women. We partner with colleges, unions, employers and business leaders to provide competitive, gender-based and inclusive training programs for women interested in entering the construction, landscaping and technology industries. The programs offered are: Pre-apprenticeship Commercial/Residential Painter and Decorator Program; Pre-apprenticeship Terrazzo, Tile and Marble Setter Program; and iOS and Android Mobile Application Development Training Program. Programs are taught in English and Urdu. Wrap-around supports include free tuition and textbooks. Additional programs include newcomer or refugees programs and servicews, life skills coach programs, employment and training resources, essential skills for employment, and a skills development centres. They also offer youth programs, a resource centre, and a youth leadership program.
