The Redwood Shelter

The Redwood provides services inclusive to all women and their children, trans, and gender-diverse individuals who are disproportionately impacted by gender-based violence. They work for social change through learning, collaboration and advocacy. The Redwood Resident Service Counselors work in partnership with women on an ongoing basis to respond to all immediate needs regarding the safety and wellbeing of women and their children. The Redwood coordinates interpretation services for women through partnership with Barbra Schlifer Interpretation Services. The Redwood provides diverse workshops and groups for women that provide information on topics including Housing, Legal and Transitional support as well as a range of Wellness programs that support a holistic program for all women. Their peer support groups create opportunities for skill building and growth, enhancing a woman’s confidence, and experience in being a leader in her family and community.
