The Heart and Stroke Foundation is a national organization led and supported by a force of thousands of volunteers. The Foundation relies on the generous donations of millions of Canadians and receives no operational funding from government sources. The Foundation invested almost $102 million in research, health promotion and community programs. The Foundation aims to build healthier hearts and minds across Canada by bringing life-saving knowledge to the communities they serve through local area offices and the healthcare providers they support with education and resources. The Heart & Stroke Canadian Partnership for Stroke Recovery is a world-leading virtual centre of excellence in brain research. They work to help survivors achieve the best recovery and quality of life possible and prevent future events, and offering training services for preparedness and recognition of strokes.
