The Canadian Mental Health Association, Durham Branch – is a community-based human services organization that advocates and supports those with mental health issues. Their goals are: fight to reduce the stigma of mental illness through public education; provide educational opportunities to help the public understand mental health issues; provide services to schools, communities and individuals promoting Mental Health for everyone; and advocate for consumers of mental health services. Durham Branch offers social and vocational programs such as: information and education to case management, psychosocial rehabilitation, housing and primary healthcare.
