Actua

Actua is a national charity that is preparing youth, age 6-26, to be innovators and leaders by engaging them in exciting and accessible STEM experiences that build critical employability skills and confidence. Actua’s National Indigenous Youth in STEM (InSTEM) program incorporates current research and commonly accepted practices in educational pedagogy and Indigenous approaches to education and community engagement. Actua’s Teacher Training program provides K-12 pre-service and classroom teachers with professional development opportunities designed to enhance learning outcomes in their current curriculum. Actua's National Girls Program inspires girls and young women to fulfill their critical role as leaders in STEM. Hands-on all-girls programs encourage their engagement in STEM fields like engineering and computer science. Additionally, they work with Indigenous youth.
