GLOCAL Foundation of Canada

GLOCAL is a grassroots initiative formed by a group of young Canadians that saw challenges in democratic platforms. Their mission is to empower residents in Canada to be globally aware and locally engaged. They aim to support and work with fellow Canadians in bringing about a more inclusive, transparent, accessible, and engaging democratic participation with a global understanding. They have programs such as YouCount.ca – a Digital Civic Engagement Platform and Research – Knowledge Mobilization & Quality Resource Curation. Their research output consists of e-toolkits for public perusal, educational posts for social media outreach, and interactive programs for civic engagement. Their research interests include (but are not limited to) Indigenous matters, anti-discrimination policies, and legislative updates. YouCount.ca is a digital platform that connects people with our political representatives across all levels of government, from your city or town councillors to the Prime Minister.
