About

Founded in 1969, the Université du Québec à Chicoutimi is part of Canada's largest university network, that of the Université du Québec. It is located in the heart of Saguenay−Lac-Saint-Jean, a French-speaking region recognized for the beauty of its fjord, and has a Centre d'études universitaires in Sept-Îles and a École du numérique in Montreal. With the success of its more than 70,000 graduates, UQAC welcomes more than 6,500 students each year, more than 2,000 of whom come from about fifty countries around the world. Renowned for the proximity report promoting exchanges for all members of its university community, UQAC offers a unique experience and more than 200 study programs. Through its departments, its Continuing Education service and its Nikanite First Nations Center, it also offers adapted training that it deploys on campus and abroad. As much for the quality of its faculty members as for the sustained efforts of its students, UQAC stands out in Quebec, Canada and worldwide thanks to its research projects.
