About

Access Copyright is a collective voice of creators and publishers in Canada. As a non-profit national organization, they represent tens of thousands of Canadian writers, visual artists and publishers, and their works. Access Copyright facilitates remixing and sharing of content for educational and professional purposes while also ensuring that the original creators and publishers benefit. They help educators become their own anthology editors when the need arises, and they combine this with an assurance that the original writers, visual artists and publishers also benefit, so that they can continue creating new and innovative works. Access Copyright provides licensing services to educators and learners across Canada in elementary and secondary schools, independent and tutorial schools, post-secondary institutions and adult language learning centres. They offer professional development grants funding to facilitate professional development opportunities for Canadian writers, visual artists and publishers as well as staff members at organizations that represent them. Funding supports education and skills training through workshops, internships, courses, and distance education.
