About
SWern Public Health works together with its partners to ensure the health of the whole community. SWern Public Health's programs respond to public health emergencies; promote healthy lifestyles; help prevent injuries, illness and disease in the community; and promote positive change and social conditions that improve health. They work with school boards, teachers and community agencies by offering educational programs and classes. Additional programs include Food Handler Certification for anyone working in an environment offering food services. They offer Immunizations to prevent outbreaks, as well as programs to promote student leadership and physical activity in schools, and Community-based programs.
