Halton Newcomer Strategy

Halton Newcomer Strategy is an advocacy team that engages the community to empower newcomers in Halton. The Halton Newcomer Strategy (HNS) is a Local Immigration Partnership (LIP) funded by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada. Each year, the Halton Newcomer Strategy develops, collaborates and supports various community projects and initiatives that support newcomers within the region of Halton. The HNS has five Action Groups: Youth, Civic Engagement, Health and Wellness, Education and Employment, and Housing. Currently they are supporting Ukrainian newcomers with regional and local supports.
