Georgina Trades Training Incorporated (GTTI)

GTTI’s is a Training Centre, which hosts digitally-equipped instructional spaces, administrative offices, a multi-purpose shop area, and advanced technologies for learning. Many of their courses are taught within the building, which offers a computer lab, access to high speed Internet, a welding suite, forklift training, facilities for small engines repair, carpentry and much more. On March 31 2020, the Ministry of Labour, Training and Skills Development, and the Provincial and Municipal governments signed a funding contract with GTTI to establish the GTTI Skilled Trades Institute (GTTI-STI) in Jackson’s Point, ON. Tuition is free and they also offer other supports so students may focus on training. They offer training in cabin making, carpentry, roofing, drywall, electrical, flooring, tiling, HVAC and plumbing.
