maskêkosihk University is described as a Cree-led post-secondary institution based in the Enoch Cree Nation (Alberta) that prioritizes the preservation and revitalization of Cree language, culture, and Indigenous knowledge. Its mission is to provide holistic education that weaves traditional knowledge with contemporary disciplines, supports student success through one-on-one counselling, smaller classes, Elder guidance, and integrates Cree-language, cultural foundations in all programs.
