About
Na-Me-Res began offering emergency shelter to Toronto-based Indigenous men who were without a place to live. The shelter grew quickly to accommodate the growing needs of the community, Na-Me-Res implemented support programs to address those causes. Na-Me-Resoffers three main programs, Aboriginal Elder Outreach Project, to teach Indigenous practies and customs; Ngim Kowa Njichaag, helps reclaim culture; Mino Kaanjigoowin, helps with those struggling with addiction or homelessness to create a long-term plan; Apaenmowineen, a life skills program to develop skills and find employment.
