Workers' Compensation Board Alberta (WCB Alberta)

The Workers’ Compensation Board (WCB) provides compensation (including wage-replacement benefits and medical aid) to workers who suffer work-related injuries during the course of employment. WCB is funded by premiums paid by employers in compulsory industries in Alberta. They are also involved in skills training and development. For instance, they provide full financial support while you actively search for a suitable position; coach and support during your active job search, and offers sponsorship for part-time, short-term, or full-time academic programs and training-on-the-job programs with your existing or a new employer.
