Elizabeth Fry Toronto advocates for alternatives to the criminal justice system and raise awareness about systemic oppressions that put women in conflict with the law. They offer counselling services, residential and housing service, court diversion programs, employment and community supports. Their Building Employment Strategies Together (BEST) program offers one-on-one and group support to women to develop a job seeking plan, and provide a series of pre-employment sessions to help women on the road to employment. My Start-Up Entrepreneurship Program is a women’s self-employment entrepreneurship training and support program for women who want to start their own business. Women get access to idea generator sessions, employment skills workshops, support developing their business idea and low interest loan.
