About
Durham Community Legal Clinic is a non-profit community legal clinic funded by Legal Aid Ontario. They offer people living on a low income in Durham Region free legal services for certain problems. Their Centre for Financial Literacy will provide low income residents access income stabilizing opportunities, information, and education on financial literacy when the hub is completed. The Clinic engages in advocacy and submissions on various topics related to access to justice, poverty law, and legal aid. They offer a variety of services related to employment issues and workers' compensation, including: wrongful dismissal, constructive dismissal, human rights and discrimination and workplace injury. They also offer volunteering opportunities, where candidates could learn on the job.
