Workforce Planning Board
About
The Workforce Planning Board of Waterloo Wellington Dufferin (WPB) leads local workforce development by identifying local labour market needs/trends/priorities and working with the community to develop action plans to address these issues. Their annual EmployerOne survey is designed to collect information on a range of topics and trends including projected vacancies, hiring intentions, recruitment strategies and challenges, as well as your perception on candidate skills, education and training. They also have the Job Seekers Hub, where people can find work, access training, or upgrade your skills. They also organize Webinars that showcases the trends and changes in the local labour market. Their Non-profit Transferable Skills project assists employers with the recruitment tactics and strategies, to provide a framework within human resources functions in organizations that do not have an HR professional on staff, and help job seekers to better understand the non-profit sector.
