Yukon Women in Trades and Technology (YWITT)

Yukon Women in Trades and Technology is a hub with community partnerships. They offer programs and bursaries that increase awareness and support women and girls in trades and technology. Their Power Up program provides opportunities for all high school aged girls to explore trades and technology careers and skills through hands-on experience. They facilitate in-school workshops on demand, and provide high quality, interactive workshops that focus on hands-on skill building and/or career options in the trades or technology sectors. YWITT and YuKonstruct partner to offer "Do It Women" program for skill-building at a reduced rate, open-enrollment monthly program for adult women. Additionally, YWITT conducts research projects with employers, industry representatives, unions, instructors, administrators and NGOs who work with women in trades.
