Edmonton Mennonite Centre for Newcomers offer employment services, Language services, settlement and other community programs. Their Newcomers Essential Skills Training (NEET) is a 6-month full-time training program to help you improve your essential skills so you can more successfully find work and participate in the community. Essential skills are: reading text, use of documents, writing, working with numbers, oral communication, thinking skills, working with others, computer use, and continuous learning. They also offer employment training programs. For instance, their IM&M+ is a 13-week/three-module program explicitly created as an innovative action-oriented program that supports individuals at a pre-employability stage of their careers. This strengths-based program is all about providing experiences and opportunities for those who may have experienced repeated setbacks regarding traditional learning and/or work. They offer settlement programs for children, youth and adults as well
