Work-Based Learning Consortium

WBLC is an organization supporting business and industry firms in meeting their needs for skilled employees by promoting, developing and managing Work-Based Learning programs for entry- to mid-level skilled jobs that enable unskilled people to get hired, acquire industry-valued skills, achieve industry-recognized certification and pursue rewarding career pathways. WBLC is partnering with the Future SKills Centre (FSC) on employment projects in the auto sector in southern Ontario. Working with the Ontario Government and Spero Careers Canada, they’re exploring interest from Advanced Manufacturing companies to hire from the Autism talent pool. Currently partnering with the Future Skills Centre on a project for employee upskilling/re-skilling for in-demand jobs; targing women, youth, Indigenous Peoples, and rural/remote/Northern communities.
