Skills Canada

The mandate of Skills Canada is to encourage and support a coordinated Pan-Canadian approach to promoting skilled careers in trades and technologies to youth and their communities. One of their key initiatives is the Skills for Success model. The Skills for Success, formerly known as Essential Skills, were identified and launched by the Government of Canada in May of 2021, updating the existing framework in response to an evolving labour market. Skills Canada offers workbooks, resources guides, and online learning resources for the 9 essential skills and the new skills of adaptability and creativity that should be a part of your toolkit.
