Tennis Manitoba (TMB)

Tennis Manitoba is the official governing body for tennis in Manitoba. The provide certification programs for coaches and instructors, and offers instructor courses for individuals who are above 15 years of age. The Tennis Manitoba Schools Program is targeted at children in elementary schools, but it can be accessed by junior high and senior high schools as well. The program is designed by Tennis Canada and introduces the lifetime sport of tennis to children. Tennis Manitoba coaches conduct the tennis clinics in physical education classes using mini-nets, mini-racquets and sponge balls. The students receive instruction on the forehand, backhand, serve and volley, as well as the rules of tennis. TMB is made up of tennis clubs and have their own board.
