Atlantic Jewish Council
About
Atlantic Jewish Council focuses on building a sense of Jewish community across Atlantic Canada, strengthening Jewish identity and focusing on youth. They offer support and make connections between Atlantic Canada and Israel and assist with immigration. They provide education about the Holocaust and human rights and advocate with government, academic institutions and Jewish and non-Jewish organizations. The Atlantic Jewish Council offers the Abraham Leventhal Memorial Scholarships aimed towards tuition fees for future post-secondary studies in the Halifax Regional Municipality. The Life and Legacy program in Atlantic Canada is a two-year partnership between the Atlantic Jewish Council, Camp Kadimah, the Beth Israel Synagogue, the Shaar Shalom Synagogue, and the Harold Grinspoon Foundation (of Agawam, MA) to promote and support legacy giving.
