City of Kingston

The City of Kingston is committed to creating a high quality of life for residents by fostering opportunities to support social development, create jobs and build prosperity. With a focus on innovation, Kingston aims at engaging young people, entrepreneurs, innovators, artists and creative citizens in facilitating economic growth. Kingston offers access to education and research institutions, healthcare facilities, affordable living and entertainment and tourism activities. They have also implemented the engage for change program for their Indigenous community which support for an Interim Indigenous Community Centre/Gathering Space, Development of a Relationship Protocol between Host Nations and the City of Kingston and support for the formation of an Indigenous-led Community Council/Advisory Committee. They also offer a a range of support programs including linking seniors to service providers who can assist with everything from maintenance to shopping and housework.
