The Neighbourhood Group

The Neighbourhood Group is a Toronto-based charitable organization representing a fusion of Central Neighbourhood House and Neighbourhood Link Support Services. They offer programs like Childcare, Children and Youth Services, Community Development, Community Support, Employment Services, Housing, Housing Security for Seniors, and Settlement Services. Their Tutoring program under the Children and Youth Services offers one-on-one support to students from grade one to grade 12. The GEMS (Girls Empowerment for More Success) program for older girl’s age 13 - 15 yrs, offers young women the opportunity to get together to discuss current issues, play sports, build their self-esteem, talk about body image, gain leaderships skill and can meet new young women from their communities. Their Employment & Training Centre helps people prepare for and find work, through training, pre-employment workshops and counselling.
