Canada India Foundation

Through active participation in the public policy debate and engagement with Parliamentarians, Canada India Foundation works towards raising the profile of Indo-Canadian community and plays a role in transforming Canada’s relations with India by emphasizing India’s criticality to Canada’s future. In addition, they foster support for stronger bi-lateral relations between Canada and India; educate Canadians on the changing face of India and increase the participation of Indo-Canadians in the public policy process in Canada. Their activities include: Advocating for a strong Canada-India relations that focus on the commonalities and shared values of the two democracies; Organising programs such as Know Your MP/MPP that educate and inform Canadians of Indian origin to enable them to better participate in the democratic process; Commissioning studies, surveys and reports to meet its mandate; Communicating with its stakeholders, supporters, sponsors to raise issues that are pertinent to the bilateral relations between Canada and India and the interests of Canadians of Indian origin; and Networking with other groups of complementary interests.
