Nogojiwanong Friendship Centre

The Nogojiwanong Friendship Centre is a non-profit culture and community-based organization mandated to serve the needs of all urban Indigenous people, regardless of status, in the City of Peterborough and the surrounding area and provides a place of acceptance and well-being for urban Indigenous people through a wide range of community-based programs & services. One of the main services offered by the Nogojiwanong Frienship Centre is the Apatisiwin Employment Training Program. Working with Indigenous individuals to create new job opportunities, engage with small and medium-sized businesses, and community partners. They offer employment training programs, programs for children and youth, health and wellness programs, cultural connections programs, alternative education programs, and Indigenous mentorship
