Superior Court of Justice

The Superior Court of Justice is one of the busiest trial courts in the world. The Court has jurisdiction over criminal, civil, and family cases, and is the largest superior trial court in Canada. The Divisional Court, Small Claims Court, and Family Court are all branches of the Superior Court of Justice. The administration of justice in the province of Ontario falls under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of the Attorney General. Additonally, the Superior Court of Justice Clerkship Program offers law students the unique opportunity to experience the trial process first hand, to work closely with judicial officials, and to substantively engage in a myriad of legal issues. They also offer a Summer Student Program.
