Association of Canada Lands Surveyors (ACLS)
About
The Association of Canada Lands Surveyors (ACLS) is a Non-profit, non government organization that governs the activities of its members in the field of cadastral (boundary or legal) surveying. ACLS is a national licensing body for professionals surveying in the three Canadian territories, in the Federal parks, on Aboriginal reserves, on and under the surface of Canada’s ocean. The practice of the ACLS membership is monitored through a practice review process, while professional conduct and competence are held to high standards and subject to investigation and adjudication when called to question. Mandatory professional development, licencing & permitting requirements, minimum insurance requirements and strong Council oversight over the regulatory aspects and association operations, all contribute to the mandate of protecting the public interest.
