Alberta Ministry of Education

Alberta Education supports students, parents, teachers and administrators from Early Childhood Services (ECS) through Grade 12. The Ministry has the following responsibilities: (1.) develop curriculum and set standards, (2.) evaluate curriculum and assess outcomes, (3.) teacher development and certification, (4.) support students with diverse learning needs, (5.) fund and support school boards, (6.) First Nations, Métis and Inuit and Francophone education, and (7.) oversees basic education policy and regulations.
