Literacy Association of Nova Scotia
About
Literacy Nova Scotia (LNS) was formed in 1992 to be a non-governmental umbrella organization with a mission to ensure that all Nova Scotians have equal access to quality literacy, essential skills and lifelong learning opportunities. LNS's volunteer Board of Directors works to provide a provincial forum for organizations and individuals. The board is comprised of individuals drawn from business and labor, literacy practitioners, as well as adult learners who are enrolled in or completed a literacy or essential skills program. These directors are committed to the development of a strong movement of people interested in adult learning, for which literacy is the foundation.
