Portage La Prairie Local Immigration Partnership

Portage La Prairie Local Immigration Partnership works together with the community of Portage la Prairie to empower citizens, enhance neighbourhoods, foster community spirit and build the capacity of community organizations. The PLIP Council is a multi-sector partnership comprised of all levels of government, immigrant serving agencies, public institutions, and other key community stakeholders. Their services include English as a Second Language (ESL) courses, summer youth engagement programs, SWIS-Settlement Workers in Schools, LINC programs, adult education, settlement services, work experience programs, employment assistance services, and literacy services. Their supports include on-site daycare and volunteer services for advocacy.
