Sexual Assault Support Centre of Waterloo Region - Support Line supports survivors of sexual violence. Using an intersectional feminist approach, it works to transform systems which promote gender-based violence. It offers a 24 hour support line as well as individual therapy, group therapy, and court support. Their public education program has a broad role of educating for social change and raising awareness around issues of sexual violence. They offer a variety of methods to engage individuals, groups, workplaces and communities in the prevention of gender-based violence. Their Male Allies Training is a 7-week program for men dedicated to talking about masculinity, including how masculinity impacts men and women, girls, queer, and non-binary people in our communities. At its core, it aims to dismantle patriarchy and end sexual and gender-based violence.
