Royal Roads University
About
Royal Roads University has a unique educational model, with programs that provide life changing experiences that enable professional and personal transformation in undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral programs. By self-identifying as an Indigenous student upon enrollment, or any time after that, students will receive information about opportunities to connect with other Indigenous students and members of their Heron People Circle. They also offer Indigenous support programs that provide cultural, academic, personal and financial support. Their education agreements and flexible admission give credit for military training. They also offer financial aid and awards specifically for Canadian Armed Forces members, veterans and families. They have a large international student population for which they provide specialty services and advice, especially in response to COVID-19. In terms of scholarships, they have special ones for different minority groups including women, students with disabilities, Indigenous students and BIPOC students. They are currently partnering with the Future Skills Centre.
