About
The House of Peace is an intercultural, life-affirming community that empowers newcomer women to begin life anew. The House of Peace upholds the vision of a world of justice, tenderness and communion. The Sisters of the Holy Names of Jesus and Mary are educators dedicated to empowering impoverished and marginalised persons. Active on three continents, their work focuses mainly on: refugees and migrants, human trafficking and access to clean water. They provide a safe and loving home for 20 newcomer women for up to 2 years, Initiate activities and programs that enhance self-confidence and interdependence, Promote education and skills training and encourage mentorship, collaboration and leadership.
